2020 Alopecia New Years To-Dos (Resolutions)

4.09Kviews

We are just about finished with January, and after some deep thought I have finally finished my list of things I want to accomplish this year, as far as my Alopecia is concerned. Some things are obvious relations, and others are a little more round about, but nonetheless all in the name of Alopecia.

100% Vegan – I have been working towards this for two years, and I am finally here! I don’t have hope that my hair will magically grow in thick and full, but I know feeling amazing will improve my overall health, attitude, and positivity.

Workout Consistently – This relates with my diet. Feeling good will keep my confidence and positivity up. I also think my small, bald head looks better when I am a little more trim. I know that thinking isn’t great, but I’m a human woman, let me live!

Read 12 Inspiring Books – I loved reading as a kid, then fell off as an adult. I picked it up last year and want to keep increasing the amount of books I read every year. One inspiring book a month should keep me motivated to keep doing what I do, even when it feels like I am not making progress.

Steam Wigs – I want to buy a steamer and learn how to bring my synthetics back to life, so I can teach you too!

Take Off My Wig in Public – I don’t know why I feel like I have to do this, but I imagine if I am that comfortable I will truly give zero fucks what the world thinks of me. Isn’t that the goal?

Go to Work without My Wig Once A Week – Similar to above, it will help build my confidence and make me more comfortable without the security of my wig.

Vlog and Blog Weekly – This will probably be the hardest. Being consistent with creating and sharing content takes a lot of planning, which is hard to manage with a full time job and relationship, but there are so many people that have way more on their plate that still make time to post content consistently, so I really have no excuses!

Wigs off Walk – I want to create a walk, a movement of people with hair loss marching down the street without any wigs, toppers, hats, or headbands. This walk will spread awareness and give those people an opportunity to open up and accept their true beauty with confidence in an environment they fit in. More to come on this project.

What Are some of your resolutions or To-Dos for 2020? Even if they aren’t related to your brand or passion, it’s good to start the year off with some solid goals. I am really excited for this year and what’s to come. Stay tuned! Xo
