Happy Wonderific Wednesday! The first Wednesday of every month I Bake something sweet and delicious for the Covenant House Hollywood. This is such an amazing non-profit organization that helps homeless youth transition from the dangers of the streets to a world of opportunity.
I wanted to contribute my time to this cause, so naturally I asked where I could help as a baker, that is how I learned about Wonderific Wednesday. It is an awards ceremony dedicated to the accomplishments of the month like new jobs, promotions, degrees, new apartments, etc. After the ceremony everyone is treated with pizza, and now my desserts! The latest cookies I made really defined what Wonderfic stands for: layers of amazing!
I made a simple chocolate chip cookie dough, wrapped that around and oreo, baked it, then dipped it in chocolate and cereal. Layers of amazing!
I made two variations.
- Chocolate chip cookies stuffed with a Birthday Cake Oreo, dipped in white chocolate and Fruity Pebbles cereal.
- Chocolate chip cookies stuffed with a Cinnamon Bun Oreo, dipped in semi-sweet chocolate and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.
