What To Bake When Launch Party

4.98Kviews

I had a launch party to celebrate my book on Sunday May 19th before the release date on May 21st. It was AMAZING! My mom and friends came in from all over to support me. I wasn’t going to have a launch party, because the whole publishing process had me burnt out, but my friends talked me into it and I love to throw parties, so here it is!

I had the party at Sur Restaurant and Lounge in West Hollywood. I chose this location because I reference the reality show built around the restaurant staff, Vanderpump Rules in one of my recipe stories.  This place is gorgeous, so I didn’t need to bring in any decor.  Aslo Lisa Vanderpump is #goals.

I hired an amazing photographer Akin Odebunmi of Ano Photography who captured the vibe perfectly as you can see.

I ordered a step and repeat from Event Step and Repeat Banners. I highly recommend them! They are very affordable, fast, and efficient. My banner was flawless.

I brought in books to sell, baked goods from the book recipes, and a photo album for mini polaroid pics. Set up was very quick and easy, thanks to my amazing friends and the Sur staff.

Peter Madrigal was the manger in charge of my party and he was fantastic. Super accommodating and very friendly. Our bartender Brett was also very friendly and so fast to pour our mimosas, he had a ton of patience.

I literally had the best day. I wasn’t stressed out, I sold 50 books, and I got to spend three hours with my favorite people at a beautiful venue. There is no better way I could have imagined to welcome my first born, What to Bake When: A Baking Handbook for the Basic Bitch.
